What were you doing before joining Goodwood?

I’ve worked in HR for the last 15 years for organisations in London and on the south coast.

How did you get to where you are today?

I started out as a Christmas temp in HR for Debenhams’ Oxford Street store and stayed on, studying for my CIPD qualification in the evenings. I’ve stuck with HR ever since because of the varied and interesting nature of the work, and am delighted that it’s brought me here.

What does your job entail?

Providing P&D support to my assigned area of the business.

Where are you based on the Estate?

At the House mainly, with a day per week spent at the Hotel.

What are your hobbies?

I love to bake and decorate cakes; so birthdays, weddings and Christenings amongst my family and friends usually keep me well occupied! My free time is mainly devoted to my partner and daughter, and when I’m not baking I like to sew, read and go for walks in the countryside.

Tell us something most people don’t know about you!

Many years ago I worked for a summer season as an air stewardess, which was lots of fun; especially the regular trips to Skiathos where the runway is rather short and landings tended to be a bit hairy – fine for the crew who were expecting a screech of brakes but it always made the passengers nervous!

If you were to be treated, what would your favourite treat be?!

Being whisked away to the country for a weekend of long walks and cream teas.
