The Goodwood Estate, set in nearly 12,000 acres of superb Sussex countryside, attracts over 800,000 visitors each year from around the world to our calendar of internationally renowned hospitality and admired sporting events. We have a diverse range of business activities from historic motorsport and horseracing events, two golf courses, a thriving luxurious hotel and an organic farm. A unique mixture of style, verve and attention to detail has maintained our international reputation for excellence and innovation across all of our diverse businesses. The Goodwood brand is justifiably known for its values of excellence and quality and offers an inspiring working environment.
We’re lucky to be able to offer a fantastic range of venues in which to entertain. From the magnificence of Goodwood House, long envied for its lavish hospitality, to a luxurious 91 bedroom hotel at the heart of the Estate, we can stage private or corporate events with ease. There is also a Grade I listed sporting clubhouse, The Kennels and the very stylish Jackie Stewart Pavilion at our famous Motor Circuit.
We are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant to join our busy and developing finance team responsible for all aspects of sales invoicing and credit control for the Goodwood Hotel and Goodwood Club. Set in the heart of the Goodwood Estate, the Hotel is a luxury 91 bedroom Hotel with award winning dining, stylish bedrooms and leisure facilities. The Goodwood Club is a private members club incorporating a bar, restaurant and private dining, in addition to 2 golf courses.
Reporting to the Hotel Financial Controller you will be responsible for the production of accurate and timely sales invoices, pro-active credit control and comprehensive debtor management for the Hotel and Club. In addition you will work closely with the finance and operational departments to ensure that processes and controls within the business are adhered.
The successful candidate will have relevant experience of sales ledger invoicing and credit control, preferably with Hotel experience. You will be highly organised and be able to work quickly to meet deadlines. Good team and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to communicate at all levels. Knowledge of finance systems and strong MS Excel skills are also required.
Due to the rural location of the Goodwood Estate, own or reliable transport is required.
