FORD

Ford of Britain will make a return visit to the Goodwood Festival of Speed during 2011 – its centennial year. In 1911 the first UK-built Ford, a Model T assembled in Trafford Park, went on sale. In 2011 the all-new Ford Focus – set to be another best seller – hit the market.

The Ford Focus will be the centrepiece of the company's Moving Motor Show display. Available in five-door and estate body styles, the new Focus boasts refinement and technology usually found on larger cars.

Driver aids help keep the car in lane, automatically parallel park and read road speed signs, reproducing them on the instrument panel as a constant reminder of the permitted speed. Frugal fuel consumption means the new Ford Focus returns up to 67mpg.

Alongside new Focus will be other stars from the car range which has led the UK market for over 34 years.
