The Moving Motor Show, returning for the third time in 2012, is an important addition to the Festival of Speed, enabling a limited number of lucky motoring enthusiasts and new car buyers a chance to see the very latest models up close for the first time in the UK, and in some cases, also climb aboard and experience the vehicles first-hand strictly at the invitation of the attending vehicle manufacturers.
In 2011 we welcomed over 20 vehicle manufacturers to the Moving Motor Show, all the way from Abarth to Volvo. All sectors of the new car market were represented, from economy hatchbacks to family saloons, SUVs and prestige limousines and supercars; there was something for everyone.
The Moving Motor Show is a direct response to the continued enthusiasm and demand from vehicle manufacturers and motorists alike for an annual motor show in Britain, enabling car buyers to see and experience the latest models, and giving car companies the opportunity to showcase their products in a stunning setting and a relaxed environment.
Exhibiting vehicle brands will display their very latest models at the Moving Motor Show, and their car will undertake hundreds of runs on a special evaluation route within the extensive grounds of the Goodwood Estate that includes the world-famous Festival of Speed hillclimb, following in the wheel tracks of many celebrated racing drivers, including Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton and Sir Stirling Moss.
