Alpine A110-50

Renault’s fabulous Alpine concept car made its British debut at Goodwood on Friday

Created to honour 50 years of the original Alpine A110 rally colossus, the appropriately-named A110-50 was driven by multiple former F1 World Champion Alain Prost.

The original Alpine was unveiled at the 1962 Paris Motor Show and in time earned several national and international titles including the inaugural World Rally Championship manufacturers’ crown in 1973. The new strain features a mid-mounted 3.5-litre V6 producing 400bhp allied to a semi-automatic, six-speed sequential ’box and a ceramic twin-plate clutch. Oh, and it sounds amazing!
