Sculptor Gerry Judah has exceeded past efforts with his 2011 masterwork outside Goodwood House. His latest offering is a single structure celebrating the time-defying Jaguar E-type’s half century. This major landmark is also being honoured on the hillclimb with a raft of significant Es venturing onto the famous course. The marque’s other significant anniversary is also being honoured this weekend: in 1951 Peter Walker and Peter Whitehead triumphed in the Le Mans 24 Hours. It would be the first of seven wins in the endurance classic and many famous Jaguar sports-racers will be seen in action. Jaguar Le Mans victors including Martin Brundle, Andy Wallace and Jan Lammers will also be on driving duties.
