Lynx Mark7 & Apache AH1

Military Aircraft Descend on the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed – Aviation Exhibition

Pending weather and operational commitments, the Joint Helicopter Command (JHC) will be displaying a Lynx Mark7 and an Apache AH1 helicopter at the 2012 Goodwood Aviation Exhibition: an exciting addition to this summer’s Festival of Speed and Moving Motor Show (28 June – 1 July) and open to all ticket holders of these events.   

Both aircraft are from the Seven Regiment Army Air Corps, based at Middle Wallop, Hampshire.  The Apache will be flown by 673 Squadron AAC, and the Lynx by 671 Squadron AAC.  Both Squadrons train all pilots for their respective aircraft types, and the helicopters will be accompanied by a recruiting stand to inform interested Festival visitors all about the aircraft and their activities.
