Goodwood is delighted to announce that popular music artists Brian May and Kerry Ellis will be getting together with their Anthems Band at the 2011 Festival of Speed on Sunday 3 July to pay a special one-off musical tribute to the centenary of the famous American Indy 500 motor race.
Legendary guitarist and founding member of the rock band Queen, Brian May, will accompany top female singer Kerry Ellis and their Anthems Bands at the Festival as over 40 significant Indy 500 cars and 16 winning drivers line up on the Goodwood hillclimb for the greatest celebration of the Indianapolis race outside of the USA around 1:40pm. This promises to be a unique spectacle that all lovers of music and motor racing will want to witness first-hand.
Brian May's colleague - Queen's drummer Roger Taylor - will also be at Goodwood on Sunday 3 July, judging the rare and stunning cars participating in the annual Cartier 'Style et Luxe' concours d'elegance.
