Vehicle Displays
There are at least five Vehicle Display areas at the Festival of Speed where you can expect to see all manner of priceless speedy roadsters and mean and mad machines.
Formula 1 Paddock
The Festival of Speed is the only event outside of the Formula 1 ‘circus’ to attract significant attendance from the current F1 teams and drivers. Every year at least half-a-dozen of the current F1 teams attend the Festival, with many of the top present-season drivers also in attendance and in action over the weekend. Goodwood F1 regulars include Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton, Mark Webber and Fernando Alonso, as well as a who’s-who of past masters, including F1 World Champions Damon Hill, Sir Jackie Stewart, Sir Jack Brabham and Sir John Surtees.
When these motor sport thoroughbreds are not wailing and howling up the Hillclimb route, they are stationed in their own Paddock where you’ll have unfettered access to them – and their drivers.
...far more than Formula 1
In addition to the Formula 1 paddocks, current and historic race cars and motorcycles can be found in the Cathedral Paddock, with the very latest supercars available for close inspection in Supercar Paddock. Many of the world’s most desirable and beautiful cars can be admired on the Cartier Lawn, whilst the Cricket Pitch always has some unusual and tasty treats in store. An extensive display of the very latest models from many of the world’s top car manufacturers can be found in the dedicated exhibition area, whilst an exciting paddock bursting with rally cars can be found up at the Forest Rally Stage.
