Many birds, such as the nightjar, feed on the hatches of insects. We believe that coppicing is an important part of the ecology of the area. With the decline of the chestnut market, many acres became derelict. The decision to chip this wood has given us the opportunity to restore the delicate eco-structure. Woodchip produced from chestnut coppice is durable, environmentally friendly, and free from chemicals.
