Christian is a Golf Professional with over 15 years experi-ence. He has a wealth of knowledge in providing expert tuition to all ability levels, from novice golfer to fellow professional. Competing on a number of golf tours over the years made him realise just how much of the game is ‘between the ears’. This discovery encouraged him to develop additional skills to improve both his own game and provide a more in depth golf lesson.
In 2006 he qualified as an NLP Sports Practitioner, enabling him to deliver golf lessons on the mental aspect of the game. His combined knowledge of the golf swing and NLP has lead to individuals improving both technically and mentally; resulting in progression and enjoyment of the game.
In 2007 Christian started working with Dave Hicks on putting coaching and putter devel-opment. During this time he has worked with a national squad, county squads, elite play-ers and delivered seminars for the PGA to fellow professionals.

Dave Hicks Trained Putting Coach
After studying Golf Management at Merrist Wood College I joined the team here at Goodwood in 2006. During which time I have qualified as a PGA Golf Professional, gaining the knowledge and skills to improve the experience and enjoyment of my clients.
I continue to compete within the PGA National and Southern tournaments with a notable victory last year in the Southern Region assistant’s Match play Championships, beating Professionals from Sussex, Surrey, Kent, Hampshire and Berkshire.
I have been fortunate enough to assist the European Tours on course commentary team in recent years, notably the 2008, 2009 and 2010 US Opens. Learning from the Worlds best golfers inside the ropes has become invaluable to both my coaching and own performance. This, with time receiving lessons from Tim Barter (Commentator and coach to many European Tour Players) has enabled my lessons to be delivered from first hand experience.
I pride myself on good relationships between pupil and coach, working to create lessons that are enjoyable, informative and extremely beneficial to the golfer. We will work together with clear objectives in mind and all improvements will be made with purpose, LOWER SCORES ON THE COURSE!
Craig Gardner
Craig is a fully qualified PGA professional. After studying for a BTEC National Sports Diploma he came to work at Golf At Goodwood where he has been for the last 5 years. His enthusiasm for the game has helped him achieve several honours as an amateur player before turning professional in 2007. He has since been helping players of all ages and abilities achieve their goals.
A lesson with Craig will cover every aspect of the game including psychology, course management and fitness. The knowledge he has acquired through his experiences and tuition as a player has helped him develop his own holistic approach to coaching.
Since 2008 Craig has been working closely with Dave Hicks and the SAM putt lab system on putting coaching and putter custom fitting. This has provided his clients with more in depth putting lessons.
Craig’s aim is to give players the tools, knowledge and enjoyment that they require to achieve their goals.
