Goodwood is unique in its ability to not only produce its own organic meat and milk but also to help eat and drink it!
Keeping it local
Its own hotel, restaurants and events make Goodwood the major user of Home Farm’s produce although other local shops, pubs and restaurants also benefit from the firmly held belief of good, home grown, quality food.
Good dairy
Our production of milk, butter and cheese really does adhere to the philosophy of fewer food miles.
For instance, the milk travels just a few hundred yards from cow to hotel via the farm’s own dairy and bottling room.
The whole, semi-skimmed and skimmed milk sold in bottles is non-homogenised (the fat particles are left alone and are not suspended in the milk) which is widely understood to be better for health.
Raw, unpasteurised milk is also available but only from the farm’s own shop, situated at Home Farm. An exciting addition to the farm’s dairy range is butter and cheese which is to be made by an artisan cheese maker with 3 generations’ experience.

Good Meats
The farm’s own wholesale department manages the supply of our produce which includes beef, lamb and pork as well as the dairy’s milk, butter and cheese. Our meat has gained a reputation for its consistently excellent taste and texture and is well regarded by local butchers and restaurants.
We supply traditional cuts of meat but also make 50,000 burgers and 10,000 sausages annually which are sold during Goodwood’s events and at other prestigious national sporting events.
Good beer
Goodwood has also joined forces with Hepworth & Co, Brewers of Horsham to use our organically grown malted barley to produce the very fine Goodwood Organic Ale and Lager.
From field to plate
The imminent production of our own butter and cheese, the brewing of Goodwood Ale and Lager and the trialling of the curing of our hams are testament to our wish to continue to expand the range of food produced at the farm.
All Goodwood produce can be traced every step of the way from field to plate and is accountable. Goodwood’s commitment to the care of its livestock and soils and provision of wholesome food for local people is paramount.
