Lord March Receives Medal of Excellence

The Earl of March and Kinrara has been awarded the prestigious Medal of Excellence in recognition of his significant contribution to British culture, luxury and fashion industries.

Walpole, the organisation representing the British luxury industry, present the annual award to individuals who exemplify British excellence through their work and achievements across luxury, culture, innovation and business.

Lord March received the Medal of Excellence at a glittering awards ceremony at the Banqueting House in London’s Whitehall, attended by more than 500 leading figures from the national and international luxury industries.

The Medal of Excellence is a unique mark of recognition made on behalf of Walpole members. Previous recipients have included Mario Testino, Dame Vivienne Westwood, Daniel Craig, Sir Matthew Pinsent and Lord Coe.

Hugh Bonneville, the highly acclaimed actor and star of the ratings winning ITV1 Drama Downton Abbey, presented the award, which acknowledged how Lord March had transformed Goodwood from a family estate to a globally renowned UK luxury destination.
