Goodwood House has been a home for family parties and celebrations for over 200 years. The magnificent Regency Ballroom has been the scene of many glittering balls and soirees and is still used for parties today. Many of the important 17th century family portraits, their relatives and their Royal ancestors are here, including a portrait of King Charles I and his family painted by Sir Anthony Van Dyck. 

You may have childhood memories, having grown up in the area or live further afield; Goodwood House is the perfect place to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or wedding.  Whether you are looking for an intimate dinner to celebrate a key birthday or a party to celebrate an anniversary; our State Apartments offer a flexible choice. 

Our Goodwood Planner will help you gather all of the details together and our Head Chef will ensure that the menu is perfect with wines to match. 

On the day you and your guests will be greeted by the Goodwood Butler and team who will serve drinks on silver trays, candles will be flickering, fires will be lit.  Guests can wander around the magnificent state apartments and our team are on hand to point out works of art to art lovers. Our Goodwood Butler will then invite you and your guests through to dinner –his sole purpose - to make sure that your evening is perfect – he is your butler, master of ceremonies and guide all rolled into one. 

After dinner you can relax with coffee and brandies or the entertainment can begin; dancing, fireworks, music – the choice is yours.  At the end of the night the team will wave you and your guests’ goodbye, sending you home with happy memories of Goodwood.
