Traditional Thai Body work
This is a type of Oriental bodywork therapy that is based on the treatment of the body, mind and spirit through pressure and/or manipulative massage and yoga stretches. A cross between acupressure yoga and Zen shiatsu and is inspired by Buddhist teachings.
The actual body work consists of slow, rhythmic compressions and stretches along the body’s energy lines. The body work is typically performed on a padded floor mat, enabling the practitioner to use their body weight and to incorporate the many movements that would not be possible with a massage table. The client remains fully clothed; the treatment usually lasts between one – two hours, but may be three hours or more if needed.
Unlike many other types of treatment, this therapy leaves you feeling energised and renewed .
