Goodwood is located just outside Chichester, only 60 miles from London, 30 miles from Brighton and Southampton.
Follow the A3 (Junction 10 on the M25) south towards Guildford. About 3 miles past Guildford, at the Milford turning, take the A283 to Petworth, then the A285 to Chichester for about 6 miles.
Just beyond Upwaltham, turn right at the brown Goodwood sign. Continue 3 miles along the road to the racecourse.
Follow the A27 towards Chichester. At the Tangmere roundabout before Chichester, turn right following signs for Boxgrove & Halnaker.
Go through the village and straight over at the crossroads, (there is a flint wall on your right). Continue on this road for about half a mile, turn right at the T junction and continue on for 2 miles. Turn left at the next junction and the racecourse is on the right.
Follow the A27 to Chichester. At Chichester, stay on the A27 By-Pass/Ring Road. After the only set of traffic lights, take the second exit at the next roundabout signposted Goodwood. At the next roundabout take the second exit.
You will pass the Motor Circuit on the left, until you reach a small roundabout. Go straight over this roundabout and continue straight on and follow signs for Goodwood Racecourse. Turn right into the Racecourse and follow the road round and you will find a gate entrance on the left hand side, as you drive though the gates to the right hand side is the Racecourse offices, park anywhere in this area and report to the Racecourse Reception.
There is a regular service from London Victoria to Chichester (1hour, 40 minutes), plus the coastal service from Brighton and Portsmouth. Buses or taxis are available at Chichester Station.

Goodwood is famous for being a stylish yet relaxed occasion and gentlemen are required to wear jackets and either ties, cravats or polo neck sweaters in the Richmond Enclosure. Linen suits and Panama Hats are traditionally worn by gentlemen. Jeans and shorts are not permitted in the Richmond Enclosure. In other enclosures dress is smart casual. Bare tops and fancy dress are not allowed in any enclosure. Due to the terrain and areas of decking at Goodwood flat shoes are recommended.
