Betfred Mile Day
The £125,000 Betfred Mile (Heritage Handicap) was the feature race of Day 4 at Glorious Goodwood and was one of the richest handicaps in Europe as well as being fiercely contested.
The Gordon’s King George Stakes (Group 2), run over 5f and inaugurated in 1911, was one of four Group races that collectively made this day a very competitive and high calibre affair.
