The winners of the much coveted 2010 Pitchcare Neil Wyatt Racecourse Groundstaff Awards have been announced, and Goodwood have been revealed as runners up of the Award for the best flat racecourse for the fifth year running.
Judging of the awards took place on Thursday 20 January 2011 and the panel comprised representatives of the National Trainers Federation and Professional Jockeys’ Association, with support from the BHA Course Inspectors. The Awards, organised by the Racecourse Association, are in their fifteenth year and recognise the achievements of racecourse groundstaff.
Seamus Buckley, Clerk of the Course comments: 'We are delighted to be recognised in the Neil Wyatt Groundstaff Awards 2010. This is the fifth consecutive year we have been runners up in this prestigious award, having won it 3 times previously. It continues to show what a great job the Goodwood Groundstaff do to keep the racecourse in such a wonderful condition which is praised by all within the Industry'.
