Winning jockey:-Name: Fallon, Kieren Francis Date Of Birth: February 22, 1965 Background: Became apprentice to Kevin Prendergast when 17, riding his first winner the following year. Moved to Britain when still an apprentice in 1988, working for Jimmy Fitzgerald and then Lynda Ramsden in 1993. Signed to ride for Henry Cecil in 1996, and became champion jockey for the first time in 1997 with 202 wins, also winning his first two classics. Joined Sir Michael Stoute in 2000 after acrimonious split with Cecil, but suffered a bad fall at Royal Ascot that nearly ended his career, and ruled him out of the rest of the season. Replaced Jamie Spencer as Ballydoyle stable jockey in 2005, although continued to ride for Stoute when allowed. Charged with race-fixing by City of London Police in 2006, and banned from riding in Britain pending trial. Also failed drugs test in France, resulting in worldwide six month ban in the same year. Returned to action in June 2007, although gave up riding in October 2007 to concentrate impending court case. Cleared of attempting to defraud Betfair customers when trial collapsed in December 2007, only to be found guilty of failing a drugs test in France in August 2007. Started riding out for Sir Michael Stoute after being given an 18 month ban and launched his own website.
