The Overtones

...bring their 100% Sinatra Sound to Goodwood

Britain’s best known vocal quintet, The Overtones will be bringing their super cool sounds to Glorious Goodwood after racing on Saturday 30th July.

Currently riding high in the charts, the group’s acclaimed live performances have attracted legions of fans and won them critical acclaim both in the UK, and abroad. Their platinum album, ‘Good Ol’ Fashioned Love’ is a collection of classic reinterpretations and original songs and has been described by The New York Times as ‘honest-to-Sinatra, 100% cool’.

The Overtones are five young men from England, Ireland and Australia. All of them sing impeccably and collectively they are as much a throwback to the timeless appeal of close harmony swing and Motown as they are to modern day R & B and pop. The group site their influences as great male voices such as The Temptations, The Drifters and Boyz II Men. Though fans of modern day rock and pop, their enduring love of the songs their parents grew up with was overriding.

Anything but an overnight success, theirs is a tale of genuine inspiration, tenacity and musical chemistry. Since the release of ‘Good Ol’ Fashioned Love’ in November, the group’s star has continued to rise. On completion of their first sold out tour, The Overtones announced a sixteen date UK and Ireland theatre tour including a night at The London Palladium.

The Overtones will be playing near Goodwood’s newest attraction, The Tanquerey Bar which will rapidly become the new place to be and be seen at Glorious Goodwood. The after racing party starts with The Overtones taking the stage at 6pm until 8pm.
