Disabled Facilities
Disabled toilets are available in all stands, and operate by radar key. Spare keys are held at all entrances. A new disabled WC has been provided at the Members' Entrance and especially lowered counter areas in the new pavilions will allow easy access for people in wheelchairs to both the food and drink and tote betting facilities.
There are non-electric wheelchairs in the Sussex Stand First Aid Station that can be borrowed on the day, or reserved in advance, subject to availability and at the user's risk.
Architects Michael Hopkins & Partners have planned disabled access into the Paddock development very meticulously.
An integrated ramp system within the Parade Ring terraces allows access to viewing areas as well as steps complete with handrails. These will lead to disabled viewing areas. Gentle ramps have been introduced to the wooden areas around the external terraces of the new elliptical pavilions also positioned around the Parade Ring to allow wheelchair access directly from the concourse behind the March Stand.
