The Venue
Goodwood Racecourse has been described by the great Frankie Dettori (and many others) as “the most picturesque course in the world” and attending a race meeting at Goodwood is an experience like no other.
Quite simply the racecourse enjoys an unrivalled setting. It is perched high on the Sussex Downs boasting spectacular views over rolling countryside to the north, while Chichester, the Solent and even the Isle of Wight are all visible to the south.
Two fantastic grandstands - the March and Sussex Stands, which both include first class catering and a host of other facilities combine with the stunning Parade Ring to create the perfect venue for Three Friday Nights.
Immediately after the horses have left the Parade Ring for the evening’s final race, the dance floor is laid down and the area is readied for the night ahead. These photos show how the transformation takes place.
