The Kennels
Joining any of Goodwood’s sporting membership clubs gives you full access to The Kennels as your very own clubhouse. The Kennels, designed by James Wyatt and build in 1787 to house the Duke of Richmond’s prized hunting hounds has also been home to Goodwood’s golf club since 1914.
Today it is a superb base complete with its own particular Goodwood relaxed style. It has a full timetable of social events throughout the year, its two dining rooms serve excellent seasonal food, many of which is estate reared, even using herbs grown in its own restored walled garden. In the summer, there’s nothing nicer than relaxing on its terrace looking out over Goodwood’s spectacular parkland and up to the racecourse.
Golfers can enjoy comprehensive facilities, lockers, power showers, hairdryers and even a valet to take care of your shoes whilst you’re out on the course and the private dining room can be hired throughout the year for business or special celebrations. Members can even celebrate their weddings at The Kennels. Children are more than welcome and can enjoy their very own Puppies menu, specially created food which will appeal to little people, but also to their parents who will be thrilled at how child-friendly healthy, fresh food can look! Our menus are always available on this website as is our exciting wine list. Ralph Lauren has sited its first European club shop at The Kennels and members are often treated to special preview evenings and enjoy seasonal discounts.
Social membership of the Kennels is also available; this year’s annual fee remains at £160.00 which entitles you to sign in up to seven friends at a time.
