Young Driver Training

MINI Drivers @ Goodwood is the UK's first dedicated young drivers training programme permanently based at a motor circuit, supported by a fleet of fantastic MINI ONEs, supplied by MINI UK and fitted with dual controls. MINI Drivers is designed specifically to equip young people with the awareness and driving skills they need before heading out onto the open road to deal with today's demanding public roads and driving conditions.

With MINI Drivers, you don’t have to wait until you are 17 to get behind the wheel. As long as you are 1.5m/4ft 10”or taller, you can get involved. You will get to drive on a real motor circuit, in the tyre tracks of motor sport legends at the famous Goodwood Motor Circuit.

Young Driver Training Programme!

Rest assured, this is not a race school; it is an educational programme designed to safely introduce young people to driving.

Statistics sadly show that four in five fatal road accidents in the UK involve young people under the age of 21 and that one in five young drivers crash within six months of driving. Our Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) will guide young drivers through the Missions in a controlled and safe environment at Goodwood Motor Circuit so that they are fully prepared to deal with the open road.

Whether it is your first opportunity to get behind the wheel of a car, or have yet to pass your driving test, you will learn the basics in our 3 'Introductory Missions' and then have the option to progress to a series of 4 'Advanced Missions' and even a full blown mock exam and driving test. You can also choose a one-off taster experience.

Prices start from £99 per session and Gift Vouchers are also available. Upon completion of the programme drivers may also be eligible for discounts on car insurance.

Online Learning

Goodwood has secured the support of ground breaking online learner and pre-learner education organisation a²om, who have developed an online programme that sits alongside Goodwood MINI Drivers. Young drivers have the option to use the highly interactive software which aims to help young people to "drive with their minds and not just their hands and feet".
