Get your glad rags on!
The Revival is executed in Goodwood’s own inimitable style and unmatched panache. The lovingly restored circuit is unchanged from its heyday, with great lengths taken to ensure its authenticity – much like the racing.
Competitors are cheered on by a crowd decked out in period attire.
All visitors - male and female, old and young - are actively encouraged to wear appropriate period clothing.
No modern vehicles are allowed within the event, and more than 300 fully-operational classic cars, trucks and buses service the site throughout the weekend – the circuit echoes to the spine-tingling bark of golden-age Grand Prix racers and thundering sports and GT cars from the Forties, Fifties and Sixties.
The circuit’s celebratory atmosphere is enhanced by numerous theatrical embellishments – including a period fairground, the famed Revival Market with many shops and stalls selling pre-1966 wares and goods, and dozens of character actors mingling in the crowds.
This mood is heightened as the skies overhead reverberate to the roar of wartime fighter aircraft including Spitfires and Hurricanes.
This is the world’s only motorsport event held against a truly authentic historical backdrop – each year we pull out all the stops to ensure that everything on the site looks exactly as it would have done half a century ago.
