Get the ‘Goodwood’ look!
The Revival celebrates the golden era of racing from 1948 to 1966, so there’s choice a plenty when it comes to playing vintage dress up. Whether you pick a post-war 40’s wiggle skirt, a fabulous fifties sun dress or a swinging sixties shift - we’ve a few tips to help you nail your ideal vintage outfit.
Firstly, choose your era. Feeling the Fifties? The key requirement is a full skirt. Its pitch perfect for a day out at the races, but most importantly, super fun to wear. Weather in the Sussex hills can get a little breezy so cover up with a cardigan, but switch up the way you wear it by simply draping it over your shoulders for that fifties ‘prom night’ detail. Polish off your look with lace gloves, peep toes and a structured bag.
Fancy channelling Twiggy? Then try a classic shift, in either colourful cotton, or baby doll chiffon. The sixties were all about legs, so an over the knee sock or a knee high boot will complete the look and keep you warm legs warm. Top off your outfit with a newsboy cap, and lashings of eyeliner - Yeah baby!
