Iconic Battle of Britain aircraft
This weekend witnesses a twist to the traditional Goodwood Revival air displays as only one aircraft is taking centre stage – that icon of the Battle of Britain, the Supermarine Spitfire. A fabulous array of memorable variations have been gathered together to celebrate 75 years of the Spitfire’s maiden flight. This event has even greater resonance as the land on which the Goodwood Motor Circuit stands was a Spitfire base during World War 2.
