In Goodwood's heyday, this was a race for pre-war and historic single seater racing cars, much like the Goodwood Trophy. Sometimes, the race also catered for sports cars. At the Revival, it is a race for pre-1955 Grand Prix, Formula 2 and Formule Libre single seaters.
