General Information

Goodwood may not receive inbound Flight Plans therefore please book in by telephone and keep us advised of any changes. We will pass them on to customs on your behalf.

Arriving Out of Hours

If you are planning to arrive outside aerodrome operating hours you must nominate a responsible person to initiate overdue action should you fail to arrive.

Make sure your nominated person has the Heathrow Flight Briefing Unit telephone number (shown above).

Leave the details of your flight with the nominated person – ideally a copy of your inbound flight plan. Keep them informed of any changes. Arrange to contact them no later than 30 minutes after you arrive.

If you fail to arrive they must then contact the Heathrow Flight Briefing Unit Supervisor. If they have not heard from you by your planned landing time plus 30 minutes. The Supervisor will then take overdue action.

Departing Out of Hours

If you depart outside operating hours, inform London Flight Information Service (details below) that you are airborne and ask them to pass your ATD to Heathrow Flight Briefing Unit to open your flight plan.
Radio Frequency

  • west of Worthing 124.75
  • east of Worthing 124.60

Put a copy of your flight plan and any other documents through the letter box on the ground floor of the control tower.

Flight Training

The aerodrome is well suited for both the PPL student and the more advanced pilot.  The ATZ is free of controlled airspace and with its six well maintained runways it makes an ideal place to do circuit training as cross wind landings/take-offs are minimal.
