The introduction of The Goodwood Farm Shop is to make this wholesome and traceable food available locally all year round.
Food that is:
- Seasonally grown and locally produced
- Full of flavour yet simply and beautifully prepared to retain its goodness
- Grown in the best possible soil and environment
- Produced from rare breeds reared in the most compassionate way
Set in the heart of West Sussex, the Goodwood Estate is renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty. Birds, insects and bats have been encouraged at Goodwood, as nature is allowed to take its course: songbirds, ladybirds and earwigs are natural predators and are invaluable in disposing of blackfly and greenfly, slugs and snails, without resorting to chemicals. Purple and white thyme, harebells and bee orchids populate the fields. New hedgerows have been planted and wildlife has been actively encouraged on the farm which has been supplying food to the Dukes of Richmond for the last 300 years.
