Organic Farming

Home Farm has been  supplying food to the Dukes of Richmond for the last 300 years.

Set in the heart of West Sussex and home to the Earl of March and his family; the Goodwood Estate is renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty.

Good soil health is key to the nutrition of plants and livestock in successful organic farming. The condition of the soil lies at the very heart of crop quality and production and has a direct influence on both animal and human health.

We use no fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides here on The Goodwood Estate.

Goodwood Livestock

The Home Farm at Goodwood raises rare & native breeds to offer the best tasting meats. By using these animals, Goodwood is working to secure the future of these breeds and to promote the important role they play in the conservation of genetic diversity, landscape management, agriculture and as part of our heritage and cultural identity.

The Soil Association works closely with the Home Farm and demands the highest standards in organic farming; monitoring our systems to ensure that all requirements are adhered to.

Goodwood Livestock can be traced on every step of their journey from field to plate.
