RAW MILK

Non-human milk has been part of the regular human diet in the UK for at least the last 7,000 years or so1 and for the vast majority of that time it has been consumed raw.

Cows are ruminants, with a complex digestive system designed to break down cellulose, a type of structural sugar indigestible to humans, and other substances found in the cell walls of grasses and other green plants they're likely to encounter while grazing.

Raw milk from grass-fed cows has amazing properties, one of which is the presence of naturally produced antimicrobials in solution 2. Another is the production of a beneficial fatty acid known as CLA|, short for Conjugated Linoleic Acid 3,4.

Goodwood Farm shop is one of a handful of places in the UK where you can still buy raw milk. Our organic milk is produced on the Goodwood farm. You can buy a 1lt bottle of organic raw milk for £1.20.

Please note that The Farm Shop's organic raw milk supply is limited. Please call in advance to place your order on 01243 755154.
