The racecourse
There are fewer more impressive places to hire for your private or business event than the pavilions at Goodwood Racecourse. Set right up on top of the Sussex Downs, the racecourse commands spectacular views over countryside to the north towards Midhurst, and then to the south over the Chichester Plain, with glimpses of Chichester Cathedral, down to the sea and over to the Isle of Wight in the distance.
At the racecourse, on non racing days, you can hire as much or as little space as you might need to accommodate your guest list.
The Charlton Suite
Has a large area which can be divided into two, one for drinks and one for dining or dancing as well as a spacious balcony on which your guests can admire both those views, and the luscious emerald green Goodwood’s famous curving flat racecourse.
The Sussex Stand
With its glass front, balcony and large roof terrace might be your choice. Again, this is easily dividable into flexible areas for eating, drinking, dancing or holding a conference or meeting and you can also use the Richmond or Sussex Lawns for your drinks reception.
Horsewalk
Is set under the Charlton Stand and is a clean modern space ideal for seminars, meetings, conferences or dining and dinner dances in the winter months. It can seat from 50 – 200 guests depending on the type of event.
The Duke of Richmond's Private Box
For smaller groups, the Duke of Richmond’s private box can accommodate 50 people for a sit down meal and also has a large balcony.
