Goodwood WEDDINGS REVIEWS

"I really don’t know what to say. My phone hasn’t stopped ringing with people saying it was the best party and wedding they have ever been to and how spoilt they felt to be there. I have never ever felt so much love in one day. It was totally and utterly beyond all my expectations and I loved and savoured every second of it."

"After the wedding day Chris and I remembered so many touches that you and your staff provided, which were unexpected by us but added so much more to our day. Whilst you obviously made Chris and I feel like royalty, it has been lovely to hear from so many of our guests since the wedding telling us of extra things the staff at Goodwood had done fro them during the day. Everyone was complementary of the exceptional dinner service and much has been said, and blamed on, the bottomless wine glasses everyone seemed to enjoy at the wedding reception. Two of our friends were amazed when David gave them an impromptu tour of Goodwood House at 10am at night, they were thrilled! This brings me neatly onto David. Chris and I were overwhelmed by his kindness and attention to us both on the day. His calm, reassuring presence throughout made us feel relaxed and made everyone else think we knew what we were doing! Please could you pass on our deepest gratitude to him. I cannot think of anything else that could have been added to the day to make it any better. It was a five star event and we would not hesitate to recommend Goodwood to anyone else for their wedding day."

" Our wedding day was a fairytale come true! All the staff were frantastic, the food was superb and the attention to detail was second to none. All our guests have said that it was the best weddding they had ever been to and best of all it was ours!"

"We do not even know where to begin to thank you. Do we start with the immaculate and absolutely painless preparations you led us through from the day of booking? Or should we focus on how seamless everything was on the day of the wedding? Perhaps it is the incredible setting and the maintenance and care of such a splendid location that we shoudl highlight. We should of course not forget the attention to detail you all put into it from the table settings to the water bottles you put under every chair.
At the end of the day however, every wedding is special and every setting is spectacular. However, we think that one thing stood out above all else and this is something that takes years of practice - you and all of the staff truly made this wedding very personal and feel like it was ours from start to finish. For one spring day it almost felt as if Goodwood was our home and we were welcoming guests to our place. In fact from the very first visit and each and every occasion we visited, you made us so welcome and special. The things people remember most are the little touches: the staff lining up to welcome the bride and bid farewell at the end; the waiting staff allowing us to change table settings at the last minute; the ability to adjust the menu a bit; the fact that all the antique furniture and paintings were all left there untouched, unprotected to make Goodwood feel warm and personal. Naturally, the main event went incredibly smoothly and was the fantastic event that is should have been. But our wedding was all the more memorable for all these little touches that are never in any wedding manual or magazine. You could not ask for them nor could you be charged for them and we think that it is this above all else that we are truly very grateful to you and the Goodwood team for making May 22nd, 2009 a very memorable one in our lives."
