George Ennor Trophy

Rod Fabricius, the Managing Director of Goodwood Racecourse, has been awarded the George Ennor Trophy for Outstanding Achievement in recognition of his contribution to the horseracing industry.

Commended for all his hard work within racing and at Goodwood, including the redevelopment of the Charlton Stand and relocation of the Paddock, Rod was also instrumental in the setting up of Racing UK.

Rod was presented with the prestigious award at the annual Horseracing Writers and Photographers Association Awards, which took place in London on Monday 6 December.

The George Ennor Trophy for Outstanding Achievement is a unique mark of recognition made on behalf of HWPA members.

Previous recipients include Sir Peter O’Sullevan CBE, Pat Eddery, Barry Hills, Peter Willett and Lester Piggott.
